Excessive Sweating / Hyperhidrosis

Botox is not only used for cosmetic reasons but a wide range of other medical treatments. In the past it has been used to aid tight muscles, eye spasm and recently it has been shown to be effective in helping an irritable bladder.

Another important medical use for Botox is for excessive sweating, also known as Hyperhydrosis.

It is a common condition affecting 1-2% of the population and many people suffer in silence as they are not aware that anything can be done about it.

Commonly it can be made worse by stress, anxiety, changes in hormones and ambient temperature.

We can treat excessive sweating arising from underarms, brow, palms of the hand and soles of the feet.

Almost 100% Dry!

You expect anything between a 70 to 90% improvement in your symptoms and if you undergo successive treatments the sweating - or lack of! - improves every time you have a session.

The treatment consists of a series of intradermal (just underneath the skin) injections of botox. The underarms typically take 25 injections either side. This can take up to an hour to give you up to 6 months reduction in sweating.
